Second Comprehensive Plan Workshop, Wednesday, June 26 - 5 - 7pm
After a successful Vision workshop in February, the City is holding a second workshop to gather input on updates to the Comprehensive Plan. This workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 26th from 5-7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Topics to be covered at the workshop include policies on: Land Use, Economic Development, Utilities, Parks and Recreation, and Housing and Human Services. King County Executive's Small Business Awards, Wednesday, September 25
King County Executive Dow Constantine will host the third annual King County Executive’s Small Business Awards on September 25, 2013 to celebrate the significance of small businesses to the King County economy. He will be joined this year by emcee Pat Cashman with a special appearance from the Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline. Read more.

RapidRide F Line
The new RapidRide F Line will begin service next September between Renton and Burien, replacing Route 140. To serve more riders and to make the transit system more efficient, Metro may change other bus routes in Renton at the same time. Read more.

Online Donations Encouraged
The public is encouraged to join with City of Renton employees to collect food and other donations for the Salvation Army Renton Rotary Food Bank and the Emergency Feeding Program of Seattle and King County. Renton Trails and Bikeway Master Plan
Renton Trails and Bicycle Master Plan was adopted in May 2009. The master plan supports a city where residents and visitors can enjoy recreation and exercise contributing to a healthy lifestyle, and where commuting by bicycle using an integrated trails/road network, becomes a realistic transportation alternative. Renton's Email Alert System
The City of Renton is offering a free E-alert Service which enables residents to subscribe to emergency alerts and topics of interest for email notifications of updates. To get started, click here or here for additional information.
Emergency Notification System
The CodeRed™ system provides city officials with the ability to provide pre-recorded emergency telephone notification/information messages to targeted areas or the entire city. Residents and businesses located within the city limits are encouraged to sign up for CodeRed™ to be sure they receive timely emergency notifications when alerts are issued. Click here to register. Court Online Payments
Renton Municipal Court is now accepting online payments for traffic infractions, fines, fees and other costs. Visa and MasterCard debit or credit cards are accepted. To utilize this service, click here. These payments will take up to two full business days to post to your court account. Please note that online payments for bail cannot be accepted, bail monies must be paid in person. Also note that payments by phone can no longer be accepted. Payments for accounts that have been assigned to collections will not be accepted.
Shop Renton, Buy Ahead of the Curve
In these challenging economic times, the Renton community is eager to help our local businesses survive and thrive and to help consumers save money. Residents and employees can use CurveCards to shop at participating businesses that have a CurveCard decal posted in their window to receive discounts or other offers. CurveCards have been distributed by the Renton Reporter and at City and Chamber events. You may also pick them up in the lobby of Renton City Hall (1055 South Grady Way) or at the Renton Chamber of Commerce (625 South 4th Street).
